Oaks Park Roller Rink, Portland, Oregon
Oaks was a live performance at Oaks Park Skating Rink in Portland, Oregon on January 27, 2009. Audience members were invited to roller skate while listening to Ethan's performance on the 1926 Wurlitzer Theater Organ that hangs from the ceiling at the center of the rink. The organs pipes, percussion, and mechanical sound effects were combined and electronically manipulated in real time as the audience skated in circles on the floor below. This performance celebrated the release of Ethan's CD, Oaks, which was released by Holocene (USA), Headz (JP), and Baskaru (EU).
